How do Full face Snorkel Masks work?
As opposed to traditional masks and snorkel set you don’t have a separate snorkel or a mouthpiece, the Full-Face Snorkel Mask is the only piece of equipment you will need.
The Full face Snorkel Mask covers your entire face, there is no need for a mouthpiece in your mouth. You breathe normally like you would above water, through your nose or your mouth.
When you duck dive, a ball valve in the snorkel will stop water from entering the mask, so when you resurface, you just carry on.
Avoid diving too deep, as you won’t be able to equalize by putting pressure on your nose. Full Face Snorkel Masks are designed for snorkellers on the surface and the occasional dive in shallow depth.
Full-Face snorkel masks are designed with a partition that separates the breathing section from the looking section.
This means that when you breathe out, the hot exhaled air will not be able to reach the viewport, but instead will only stay around your mouth and so ensures that the fogging of the viewport is minimized, allowing you to have clear vision at all times!
